Each year, 75,000 people become blind or visually impaired, but only 10% travel independently with a guide dog or white cane.Tevra Brands and Leader Dogs for the Blind believe that everyone deserves a life of independence and mobility. Since 1939, Leader Dogs for the Blind has operated one of the world’s most respected and innovative guide dog programs. Their free, up to 25-day, residential training programs welcome clients who are legally blind and at least 16 years old. Their programs are designed to provide their clients with the tools and training to reintroduce them to a life of confidence, safety, and independence.
