Tevra Brands™ Now Offers Vet Quality Flea and Tick Control

(Omaha, Neb., February 14, 2017) Tevra Brands™ announces two new vet quality products recently added to their portfolio of intellectual properties, Vetality™ Firstect™ Plus and Vetality™    Avantect™ II for dogs. These products provide vet quality efficacy and will be available to millions of pet owners for a lot less where they shop every day.

“Whether we are improving on existing solutions or innovating products with better technologies, we remain focused on creating safe and effective options that we would choose to use for our own pets and home,” said Caryn Stichler, Vice President of Marketing for Tevra Brands.

Vetality Firstect Plus contains the same active ingredients as Frontline Plus®

Vetality Firstect Plus is a brand of vet quality monthly topicals for dogs and cats containing the same active ingredients, fipronil + (s)-methoprene, as market leader, Frontline Plus® for Dogs and Frontline Plus® for Cats.1 Vetality Firstect Plus effectively kill fleas, ticks, flea eggs, larvae and chewing lice, but costs less.

Vetality Avantect II for Dogs contains the active ingredients found in Bayer®K9 Advantix®II

Vetality Avantect II for Dogs is a patent pending vet quality monthly topical for dogs that contains imidacloprid, permethrin and pypriproxyfen, which are the active ingredients found in          Bayer®K9 Advantix®II.2

Vetality Avantect II for dogs effectively repels and kills fleas, flea eggs, ticks, and mosquitoes. It further protects dogs by killing lice and repelling biting flies.

“This formulation is very effective and differentiates itself by its superior repellency of fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. It is a solid argument that dead bugs can’t bite,” said Stichler.

Dr. Olaf Hansen, Vice President of Regulatory and Development for Tevra Brands, is the inventor of Avantect II for Dogs. Dr. Hansen is no stranger to working with this class of chemicals, as he was one of the inventors listed on Bayer’s patent of K9 Advantix II®.2

“It is very rewarding to know that a more affordable vet quality option is available with the hopes that compliance improves, and more pets are protected from pests that may carry many diseases that can be dangerous to both pets and people,” said Dr. Hansen.

Dr. Hansen is proud to be part of the process to deliver pet parents effective, vet quality flea and tick topicals at a price they can afford.

“These products execute on our promise to provide trusted product solutions that exceed customer expectations, making it easier to care for their pets, family, and home. Our executive team has a combined 120+ years of experience in developing and marketing high-quality consumer branded pet products. This is just the beginning of many more innovative products to come,” said Stichler.

The Vetality brand of flea and tick products is exclusively marketed to pet specialty retailers nationwide.
